Won't you be my honey bee?

14th February 2013: Our 5th valentine's day spent together.

Today was extremely simple yet it made me really happy. I really thank God for today, I haven't felt this free in a long time. Pressure-free, free from stress, free for this.

We both overslept and ended up waking up to a pretty heavy rain. That didn't stop us from going out though we had to make some amendments to our plans. Had the intention of having lunch at Little Pancakes, but unfortunately it was closed so we had to make do with whatever which was open– of which was Habitat Coffee. We saw "all day brunch" and that definitely lured us in. Beautiful interior, affordable price, good food. Lunch was awesome.

Then baby had to go back to school for a briefing so we took a long bus ride there. Killed time by filling up my organiser but it made me really sleepy. Just one hour of waiting for baby made me so tired, to think he waiting an entire day for me for days when I was working at Taka. Why so sweet? :3

We made last minute plans to meet Oli and Yuxin at the airport and hell, the journey there was crazy!!! I gotta say though, that it was really worth it because I'm sure we four had a really good time. Impromptu plans will never go wrong. :)

All in all, this valentine's day felt special.

I guess to baby and I, this day isn't exactly a special day or whatsoever. Whereas it's more of an excuse or better reason for us to really "escape" from our daily responsibilities, put away the frustrations and really spend some /alone/ time together.

This valentine's day has also made me realise that valentine's day spent with friends is actually pretty different, special and great too.

14th February 2013: A great escape from "reality" for sure. But everyday could be our valentine's day too :)
